Air Intake Systems - Our Favorite Performance Modification

We think upgrading your air intake system is a great performance modification that can be done to your ride. The intake system is specifically engineered and calibrated to increase the air's velocity as it travels towards the engine. It minimizes turbulence and other air disturbances to maintain a high power output or torque. The air intake system is made up of air filters, throttle bodies, and a flow sensor.

Our favorite air intake systems are the cold-air intake systems. By bringing cooler, denser air into the engine, there is a greater power output. If high speed and high performance is what you seek, then you may consider a short ram-air intake, which increases the air volume intake. For best results, make sure the intake piping is nonrestrictive. There are often heat shields used to maintain cool air in the heated engine.

Agree? Disagree? Let us know what you feel is the best performance modification possible for an aftermarket high-performance vehicle!

Protect The Interior of Your Car

Preserving the finish of your interior involves using a variety of products and covers. Most of the items you need are relatively inexpensive, making it easy to customize your protection and add an extra style.

Most car carpets are composed of nylon materials that have varying depths. The best way to keep these areas clean is by using floor mats to protect from dirt, water and spill damage. Because of the carpet's design, much of the smaller debris will be hidden so it is important to vacuum often. For your seats, purchase seat covers that help to protect against sun damage and wear from usage. These products come in a variety of models, as well as car-specific covers that have logos and insignia for a perfect match to your car.

Improve The Aerodynamics of Your Car

Whether you are looking to improve handling, performance, or the overall comfort of your driving experience, a car's aerodynamics can have a substantial impact. Furthermore, air drag in most stock vehicles accounts for over half of the resistance that can cause reduced gas mileage and poor engine efficiency. There are several unique modifications you can make to quickly enhance your vehicle's capabilities.

One of the most commonly known aerodynamic improvements is a spoiler. This component goes on the tail of the vehicle and helps to spoil surrounding air for better steering. Another sporty addition, that is commonly confused with a spoiler, is the wing. Wings utilize wind to provide a downward force on the back of your car, creating better acceleration and speed.

A large majority of the wind resistance on your car comes from the front and bottom. You can use lowering springs to lower the height of your car. This helps to force more air over and around your car, improving handling and speed. Upgrading your car with parts from Direct Body Kits that support better air flow will dramatically improve your fuel economy and driving capacity.
